TWMUNGA 2019

Schools from across the area took part in the annual Tunbridge Wells Model United Nations on Friday 29th November 2019.

Excited and nervous (sometimes in equal measure), students quickly filled the Town Hall with noise and chatter. When the debates began, an impressive array of arguments were put forth by delegations from across the globe (and the alphabet) from Australia to Yemen.

The three area for discussion (climate change, land & water use, and international cooperation) were hotly debated and resolutions out. Ably supported by an efficient secretariat and every word analysed and dissected by the eagle-eyed broadsheet and tabloid press.

All-in-all it was a hugely successful day.

Thanks to Tunbridge Wells Town Council for the use of the Town Hall, all the delegates, Secretariat, and Press for all their hard work, and to the teaching staff who supported the students.

Finally, an special thanks is given to our wonderful coordinator Ms Johnson for all the hard-work and dedication she puts in to make the TWMUNGA work so well.
